Your contributions support:
- Local Musicians. Artemis Chamber Orchestra hires local professional and aspiring musicians to perform in the ensemble for each concert and its rehearsals.
- Local Composers. A goal of ACO is to commission composers to write new works for small orchestra. In 2021, Ari Fisher, a composer raised in Wilmette, composed a piece for our fall concert. Samuel Perlman, a composer raised in Highland Park, will be our next commission.
- Student Musicians. As part of our mission to bring beautiful music to those who may otherwise not have access to it, the ACO will perform joint concerts with surrounding underserved schools for free in order to provide these students musical experiences they may not otherwise have.
- The Community. Music is a vital aspect of the human experience and of a healthy, vibrant community and culture. By helping bring classical music to our community, you are contributing directly to that fundamental human experience.
