Partner Concerts

Artemis Chamber Orchestra is committed to enriching the lives of  music students. Partner Concerts allows us to reach young musicians and supplement their music education.

Partner Concerts are an ACO initiative formed to bring a unique playing experience to the music students of the Chicagoland area. Students in a school orchestra program are invited to share the stage with Artemis Chamber Orchestra, sitting side by side with our professional musicians. It is an exciting and singular opportunity for students to see up close and personal how an accomplished musician plays their instrument. The sights and sounds of such an experience provide learning well beyond what the average classroom can provide.

“Playing next to an accomplished musician felt like being taught by them because they added so many new things that weren’t in the song to make it better.”

“I was feeling the emotions from the music, at least that’s what I think. A happy song would play and that’s what I would feel. When I played with them, I tried to feel the emotion the song portrayed.”

“Playing with an accomplished musician was like entering a whole new world with opportunities.”

“One thing I noticed was that the musicians all looked like they were having fun and like they enjoyed playing.”

“I learned what it means to ‘feel the music’.”

“I really liked meeting people who were so devoted to their instrument that they turned it into their profession. It made me inspired to do the same one day.”
