Cailin Whisler, VP
Cailin grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and attended New Trier high school where she was involved in band, orchestra, and jazz ensemble all four years as a clarinet and alto saxophone player. She graduated from Northwestern University in 2017 and obtained a Masters Degree in Public Health from the Feinberg School of Medicine in 2021. She now works at Johns Hopkins University as a Research Program Manager and cultivates a lifelong love of music. She is honored to be a part of the Artemis Chamber Orchestra team and support their mission of bringing music to the community.
Christos Economou, Secretary
Christos Economou grew up in the Chicago suburbs and learned to love classical music from an early age. He joined ACO because he feels deeply in its mission to bring less-often heard chamber pieces to broader -- and hopefully new -- local audiences. Outside of ACO, he is a medicinal chemist during the week and a volunteer restorationist on the weekends, working with groups such as Friends of Illinois Nature Preserves and the North Branch Restoration Project to restore ecological health to local prairies, woods, and wetlands. His favorite composers are Bach, Stravinsky, and Rachmaninoff.
